BCH Novice Local 2 Set Their Hopes High For A WOAA Championship
Submitted By Lisa Rowe Brown on Saturday, March 16, 2013
They went went into the weekend with a flawless playoff season and these Dogs were ready to take on one more weekend of playoff hockey to ensure their spot in the WOAA Finals.

They knew it wasn't going to be easy. After all, they were taking on two amazing teams that have also had great regular seasons.  Saturday's game had the two BCH teams going head to head in the Clinton barn. Going into it, everyone knew it could of been anyone's game. These teams are so evenly matched that usually each one of them takes their turn with the win. Our last game against them had us walking out with the solo goal to win it and we knew the odds were in their favour this time. But with only one more win needed to move on in our post-regular season, we had to pull up our socks and step up our game. BCH took to the ice with a mission and proved how bad they wanted this win. Teegan and Garrett each scored nice shots in the first, Seth (after many attempts) finally on his knees put one in and Grayden had an impressive wraparound goal to put our total at 4. The whole team played awesome and had a hand in this much needed win. Ah, the good ol' hockey game!

The game against Mitchell was less of a pressure cooker, as our fate had already been decided with the last game, but it's always nice to walk out of your home arena with a win. Mitchell was keen to end their season on a high note as well. Both teams played awesome but Mitchell came out with the smile this time. They had a goalie we just couldn't put one past, despite all our great effort. Nevertheless, it was an exciting game to watch.

Full steam ahead, our boys will take on the Mount Forest Rams for the WOAA Championship. The first game is this Sunday at the Clinton arena at 5:30. Come on out and show your Ice Dog support. This team would love to hear some positive noise from the stands! Go Ice Dogs!
