Respect for Our Refs

As many teams head into play offs, please be sure to respect our referees. 

The BCH Executive would like to stress the importance, to all of our players and families, of keeping our cool during and after intense playoff games. We strive to be the kind of minor hockey centre known for respectful behaviour towards opponents, and especially towards our referees. It’s very simple, without referees our players would not be able to play. There will always be calls, and non-calls, that we don’t agree with but if the referee community continues to be subjected to rude, disrespectful, and sometimes threatening, behaviour our children will not have games to play in.

If you witness disrespectful behaviour towards a referee at a BCH game please let your parent rep or coach know and it can be passed on to the Executive.
