Battle of the Blades
Submitted By Jeff Stoll on Thursday, December 8, 2011
On Sunday December 4th, several of our BCH hockey players participated in the inaugural Battle of the Blades skating competition.

The event was hosted by the Clinton Kinettes and Clinton Skating club.

The new Clinton arena was filled to capacity to witness this figure skating competition. Those in attendance were treated to a very entertaining display of figure skating.

The battle of the blades concept is to pair a figure skater with a hockey player to do a pairs figure skating routine.

Boyd Deveraux highlighted the panel of judges commenting on the skater's performances.

BCH was well represented in the show.

Alex Cowman, Adrian McTaggart, Sydney McCash, Blayne Denomme, Brett Johnson, Mac Smith, Myles Krahn and former BCH player Curtis Taylor all performed wonderful routines with their established figure skating partners.

Congratulations to everyone who made this an instant success and especially to our BCH athletes for their hardwork and determination, you made us very proud!
