Bantam Rep Advance to OMHA Finals vs. Ennismore Eagles
Congratulations to the BCH Bantam Rep for a well earned place in the OMHA CC finals! These finals are set to begin shortly between Ennismore and BCH. The Bantams won the semi-finals this weekend against the Dunnville Rivertown Flyers winning game 4 with a score of 4-0.
Game one was held on Family Day, Feb. 21 as the team travelled to Dunnville. The arena was packed with fans, but the Bantams prevailed playing a strong game to win it, 6-3. The boys would have to wait until the next weekend to see how Dunnville would answer back. Games two and three were played the following weekend, Feb. 26 and 27, in Hensall and Clinton. Dunnville showed a stronger offense in these games and game two was won by BCH in overtime with a score of 3-2. Game three proved to be tough, with many penalties, and Dunnville scored three power play goals. A game three loss, in overtime 4-3, forced the Bantams to a game 4 the following weekend in Dunnville. Game four was on the Dunnville home ice on Mar. 5. The Rivertown Flyers came out strong and very determined to get their second win to try and survive the series, but the BCH boys showed a tremendous effort to keep out of the penalty box despite having the Dunnville boys doing everything they could to capture a lead. Unfortunately, the Flyers were unable to score and BCH were able to show a convincing 4-0 result. A big congrats to both the BCH Bantams and their coaches for a tremendous effort against Dunnville who showed a very strong regular season. Now, the BCH Bantams will prepare to come up against the Ennismore Eagles as the OMHA CC finals begin in the next couple of weeks.
