Novice Reps Squeak Out Another Win
With a fair amount of luck, and several key saves by Kai, the novice reps were able to steal another game from the Teeswater Otters.
With the first game played so strongly by the Dogs, parents and fans were pretty sure that they would skate away with another win. However, the dogs must've used all their energy the night before, as Wednesday's game proved to be much more of a nail-biter for the crowds who gathered to watch the game. Teeswater was handed many opportunities to overtake the tired dogs, but were denied, thanks to another strong showing by Kai. In putting up a valiant effort, Tayler slid head-first into the boards and suffered the Ice Dog's first injury of the season. The team all wishes her very well in her recovery, and I am sure they will put another win in the right column for her! Goals on the night were scored by Owen and Mack(2) in the 3-2 win. (unfortunately, this reporter is unaware of the assisters, but contributions were definitely made by many!!) Hopefully, the Ice Dogs will be able to seal the deal with Teeswater on Tuesday night when they meet them for the third game of the series. Go, Dogs, Go!!!
