BCH Peewee Girls register their first win of the season in an exhibition game against Lucknow.
What an exciting game - the girls played hard, passed well, killed a penalty and the win is well deserved.
First goal scored at 1:38 in the 1st period by Kelsey from Amanda and Katie. Second goal scored at 6:20 in the 2nd period by Amanda from Jessie and Taryn. Lucknow scored a goal at 3:36 in the 2nd to make things a little stressful for the anxious parents.
With two minutes to go Lucknow pulled their goalie - we had lots of shots but couldn't put one in their net. The final few seconds were a scramble in front of our net but the girls managed to keep Lucknow out.
Chelsea was great in goal - one of her saves twisted her into a pretzel but she stopped the puck.
We only had 3 defencemen tonight - thanks Jessie, Jenna and Brooke for stopping the Lucknow skaters in their tracks.
Thanks to the forwards - Amber, Amanda, Taryn, Kelsey, Rebekah, Rayna, Kerry and Katie - for not slowing down. You kept digging for that puck.
The coaches announced the stars for the game in the dressing room - and the first star went to......The Whole Team.
Thanks girls from your parents - that was a great game to watch.
