.This was the game we had been waiting for. This was game 15, this was what we had been working for all season. If we won this game we would have won 15 games and we would all get mohawks after the game in celebration. Indy and I both brought a pair of clippers (Little did we know that they were actually facial clippers so the end results were not that good). Prior to the game I joked to Riley how much better we he would look with a mohawk. His response was "No blank-ing way".
Diesel started off with a slapper from the blue line getting the first goal on the clock early in the game. 1-0. The next shift Farqs was given a pass from Big E at the blue line. Farqs went in did some magic and scored the second goal of the game. Farqs scored again after being set up by Wood. The Greek busted the some moves and scored. According to Jamie Caldwell, the goal look as nice as freshly made Greek Salad. Not long after this salad, Wood picked up a beauty rebound throwing the puck over the goalies shoulder. 5-0. BCH, To our amazement we had only been playing 5 minutes. Still plenty of time to go. We let up a little bit, but Wild scored one more time before the period ended allowing us to end the period with a commanding lead of 6-0.
We were doing pretty well this game and Terry told us to keep on doing what we were doing. The next period was interesting as we took a few stupid penalties, but so did Minto. The ref's continued to commit on how they liked our hits mainly thanks to Diesel. We had a solid PK that game. Unfortunately Minto stopped us every time we tried to shoot. Nothing positive was going to go on the board this period.
During the intermission Terry told us the refs had kindly asked us to let off a little bit so we didn't run them off the rink so quickly. Terry then told us, "Well you know what? We are going to run this team off the rink, I don't care." Reid started off the period scoring from the hash marks. We couldn't hold the lead for the entire game as they managed to slip one goal in. Durr got us going again by scoring a goal, making the lead 8-1. Terry Jr was set up by Reid. Terry Jr took his time and went top shelf making the score 9-1. The game ended with a 9-1 victory. Time to cut some hawks.
As we were cutting the hawks, we realized the clippers were terrible and not much hair was being removed so we decided that they would be cut throughout the tourney and after that if we needed too.
