
Peewee Rep Open Motown Cup with a Win over Flint

The Peewee Rep Ice Dogs opened the Motown Cup Tournament in Detroit with a 2-1 victory over the Michigan Mountain Cats from Flint. The Dogs were all over the Cats, but the game was close because of the outstanding goaltending by the Flint netminder.
It was the opening game for the Ice Dogs in the Motown Cup and followed a night at the Joe as the Dogs watched the Oiler outwork the Wings 4-1..
The Ice Dogs opened the scoring in the first as Sinker found the back of the net on a pass from Darth. The same two Dogs teamed up to score late in the second period with Darth taking a Sinker pass to give BCH a 2-1 lead and that held to the end.
The Ice Dogs take on the Birmingham Liberty in game two on Saturday morning and the Michigan Machine in the afternoon.
