Atom Rep - The Atom Rep Have Great Start to Playoffs
The Atom Rep have started their OMHA Playdowns against the Hanover Falcons. Their first game in this series was last night at the Clinton Arena.
The Atom Rep played really well in this game and were very determined to pull off a win. The first period brought a goal from the Icedogs, scored by McKenzie S., unassisted, followed by two quick goals from the Falcons. The second period brought much more energy from the Icedogs and lots of back and forth action. The Icedogs scored their second goal and the only goal scored by either team in the second period. The goal was scored by Spencer C., assisted by Liam D. and Owen G. The third period started with much more aggression and focus by both teams wanting to win the first game in the series. The Falcons scored their third goal with only five minutes left. This put the Icedogs down by one goal. The Atom Rep didn't give up and were able to score two more goals to win the game 4 to 3 with only minutes left on the scoreboard. The third goal for BCH was scored by Zach V., assisted by Liam D. and the fourth and winning goal was scored by Payton K., unassisted. Way to go everyone!!
Logan B., once again, worked extremely hard to keep the goals for the Falcons to a minimum. He had many, many shots in the first period and was able to keep control and help bring his team to a victory. Our defence, as always, shine....way to go Jake F., Zach V., Owen G., Luke D. and Owen O!!! Your determination to stop the opposing team is really standing out! Special mention to Jaden C.....you worked really hard and had an awesome breakaway!
It was also great to see so many people out to support the Icedogs! We are in Hanover next weekend on Saturday and Sunday to play games two and three in the series.....Go Dogs Go!!!!
