09-10 Peewee Local 1 - Pee Wee Locals win 61st annual Young Canada Hockey Tournament
Submitted By Ron Burt on Saturday, March 20, 2010
A determined 10 skaters and a goalie finished off Blyth in the final game 4 to 0 to win the 61st annual Lions Young Canada Hockey Tournament.  The team went undefeated in the tournament and allowed the other teams just 3 goals in 5 games.

The coaches and fans were emotionally drawn into the final game.  The first period ended with no score with good chances at both ends.  The second period also ended without a goal being scored and the fans were in a frenzy.  A clean sheet of ice awaited the dogs in the third period.  A goal was scored in the first 5 minutes and the drought ended.  In short order 3 more goals were scored and the dogs brought home the trophy and the banner.

Good work dogs and good end to a good season.  Fun was had by all.
