09-10 Midget Local - Close Call Against Lucknow
Submitted By Eric Armstrong on Thursday, February 04, 2010
Is it the good one or the bad one? Shut up it doesn't matter we come out hard no matter what! Yeah boys lets rock this!

Obviously we, as a team, forgot what we said 60 seconds prior to entering the ice seeing how Lucknow scored first. Luckily the game was still up in the air. Wild assisted by Farqs skated up the ice. Wild shot the puck over the goalies blocker. 1-1 tie. Shortly after, Lucknow took a tripping penalty. We were hoping we could score on that giving us a lead but... Nope, nothing was drawn from that. The period ended with a 1-1 tie.

Ok, so we should of been doing better but we were convinced that that would change this period. Lucknow opened up the period taking a penalty still, even with a 5-4, nothing could be done. Diesel must of done something goony and was awarded a 2 minute break for boarding. Typical, although it really turned out for the better. Wood scored top shelf while we were short handed. Thanks to Diesel for setting up that play up! The period was coming to a close however Wyker didn't seem to mind the pressure. Going end to end and dekeing out the goalie was a simple feat for Wyker to do. With just 24 seconds left on the clock Wyker scored giving us a 3-1 lead.

So still not bad, but a few more goals would ensure victory. A few more goals.... But what if the other team scored? Well.. They did just that. This cut our lead in half leaving us only up 3-2. Now came our chance when Lucknow took another penalty. Unfortunately, just like the 3 others before that we could do nothing that would end up on the score board. Luckily thanks to our Teebs the score stayed 3-2. A close call, but still a win
